Module 2 Anatomical Embodiment & Somatic Movement 21/22
For me this course felt like a journey of experimenting and
researching together with a very friendly and experienced guide who encountered us at eye level. Dieter I think there is a lot of passion and joy in your teaching. Thanks for that!
When I started the class, I was intent on learning body anatomy with the idea that I can learn the functions and action potentials of systems within the musculoskeletal system. The impetus for wanting to understand these systems was to fix my body from all but constant discomfort and to help others do the same. After completing the module, I still want to feel comfortable in my body and promote others to do the same, but I feel that the method for doing so is more so about experiencing than about gaining knowledge.
Coupling anatomical images of the body with experiencing these anatomical structures through somatic movement is a soothing, illuminating, and inspiring experience.
AND I´m so so glad that I´m attending this course now because it´s so clear, so rich and professional, it´s fun and yes, helpful and healing :).
Actually I think about what we learn here a lot and I notice how I integrate the content more and more into my every day life
A new perspective on breathing probably did the most good during the Foundation module. My thoracic spine is much more flexible since then. Only towards the end of the current module I manage to trust that healing/development does not need my continuous attention. My new posture is more and more noticed by me instead of done.
Paradoxically, the less I consciously try to use somatic dialogue, the more it actually "works". This is a testament to growing confidence and ever-deepening insight into the somatic practice/method we are engaged with here - more specifically, somatic dialogue.
It may sound very idealistic, but my aspiration and in a way my need is to one day be able to provide as good development assistance as possible WITHOUT causing additional harm. Thereby I consider PME as ,optimistically expressed, the best of all means.
I have so many beautiful descriptions of the Anatomical Embodiment module that I feel words cannot describe it.
I feel more connected to my intuition now compared to before I began the module. I also feel infinitely more curious.
Dieter, you’re creating a resonance for sparking interest for infinite sensing and discovery.
