Advanced Somatic Training
This is a 250 hours professional training.
Its aim is to become a "Somatic Movement Therapist" and/or "Somatic Movement Educator". After its succesful completion, participants can register with the "International Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist Association" (ISMETA) Requirement
For the participation in the Advanced Somatic Training the succesful completion of the Basic Somatic Training is required.
The Advanced Somatic Training aims at committed and balanced characters with good time management and a good understanding and practice of PME. Aims
+ developing a professional personality of being an educator, coach & therapist in the method PME
+ developing a safe & responsible professional practice in teaching, coaching & therapy in the method PME + reflect, talk & write about the method PME + developing an ethical & sustainable business of teaching, coaching & therapy in the method PME Learning Outcomes:
students will gain
+ a broader and deeper somatic and cognitive understanding of the method PME + skills on how to design, develop and sustain their very personal daily somatic practice + an understanding how ongoing personal practice forms the base for all professional practice of the method PME + practice in self-regulating and balancing themselfs and developing their body and mind in a helpful and healing way as a base to professionally work with others + understanding and skills in the professional use of language in teaching, coaching and therapy. + knowledge and practice in how to professionally design, conduct and reflect on teaching somatic movement & anatomical embodiment. + the ability to conduct professional coachings and therapies in the method PME + knowledge and intellectual understanding in the theory of PME, Idiolectics, Body-Psychotherapy, Trauma, Health & Salutogenese + how to contextualize theory and practice of PME in neighbouring and wider fields. + practical business skills for education, coaching and therapy. + possibilities of integrating somatic movement therapy and education into their work and life. +An understanding of quantity and quality and the limits of their knowledge and skills and how this influences their professional practice. +An understanding of how to develop their knowledge, understanding and practice through self-guidance,reflection and ongoing further education. Duration: 9 months Online Teaching: 104 hours Self practice: 30 h teaching practice: 30 h coaching & therapy practice: 20 h business practice: 10 h supervision: 18 h practice group / peer group: 20 h homework, reflection, reading & writing: 15 h half-term & final assessment: 3 h Weekly Workload:
the weekly workload is approximatly 6,5 working hours per week.
